Dear (likely) Person,

I like people.  I like people so much that I think it would be swell if humanity kept on existing for a good long time.

The climate is changing and our species finds itself in the unique position of being both responsible for one of our greatest existential threats and aware of what must be accomplished to overcome it… yet we suffer from strong inertia to the changes that must be made to stave off disaster.

Why?

This site is a blundering attempt to record my framing of the key questions around how we might overcome the threat of climate change.  Through this exploration I hope to deepen my own understanding of why it has been so challenging for us to solve this issue and how we can come together as a species to achieve something truly unprecedented in the history of life on this planet – finding equilibrium with our environment through reason.

In the Context section I’ll be providing some key background materials that help frame up the problem.  In the Thoughts section I’ll be posting high-level analyses of specific questions related to climate that I find myself intrigued to work through (labeled Questions) and a random assortment of thoughts and ideas broadly related to the issue of climate (labeled Musings).  In the Resources section I’ll be listing a selection of the most useful books, articles, reports, and websites that I’ve come across.

Thanks for joining me on my climate journey.
